As a performance-focused, all-electric estate, the Audi S6 Avant e-tron belongs to a rare breed. The long-roofed executive car pairs sportiness and practicality with a zero-emission powertrain. Recently, we had the opportunity to experience the sporty electric estate in the metal, and here are some observations we made:
Design

The Audi S6 Avant e-tron has a low, arcing roofline and clean body surfacing. Slim headlights sit within a dark front mask that surrounds the closed Singleframe, giving the car a wide appearance. Larger lower intakes and silver accents identify it as an S model. The sculpted quattro blisters infuse definition over the wheel arches, and the long roof enhances its estate profile.
From the side, the car’s strong shoulder line and flush door handles stand out. The tapering glasshouse leads into a subtle rear spoiler. At the rear, a full-width light strip spans the tailgate, and the S badge sits below it. The bumper integrates a pronounced diffuser element finished in silver and black. Large multi-spoke wheels and red brake calipers add the finishing touches to the performance-focused look.

Interior
Inside, the Audi S6 Avant e-tron uses a multi-screen layout that forms a wide digital band across the dashboard. The 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and 14.5-inch MMI touch display sit as separate panels on a curved surface, and the passenger-side display housing continues the visual span even when the screen is inactive.

Physical controls are minimal, with most functions handled through the centre touchscreen and a compact drive selector on the gloss-black console.
The cabin features S-branded sport seats with patterned upholstery and prominent side bolstering. Storage areas include a deep centre console, multiple small trays, and a 502-litre cargo area with a wide opening. The dashboard and door cards use soft-touch materials with contrasting stitching, and metal pedals add a performance-focused detail.
Our experience in the Audi S6 Avant e-tron

Being 170 cm tall, I found ingress and egress in the Audi S6 Avant e-tron easy. I checked visibility immediately after settling into the driver’s seat, and the virtual mirrors on the OLED displays gave me a clear rear-side view. The steering wheel felt grippy in my hands, and the electric adjustment let me fine-tune my position quickly.
In the front, my head sat comfortably below the headliner, but the lumbar support could have been better. The cabin floor sat higher than in many estate models, and taller drivers may feel this more on long trips. The material quality matched what I expected from Audi, and the silver trim on the dashboard and doors caught my eye.

The 11.9-inch digital cluster looked sharp, and the 14.5-inch infotainment display responded quickly to inputs. A physical volume knob made audio adjustments straightforward. The 10.9-inch passenger display was visible but didn’t align as neatly with the other screens.
In the rear, I had generous legroom and knee room behind my own driving position. The fixed backrest angle worked for me, but the high floor raised my knees more than I preferred. Rear headroom was sufficient for my height. The rear AC vents, armrest, and cupholders added convenience, though the hard-plastic console and touch-based temperature controls felt less refined, and physical buttons would be better.
