In April 2018, Volvo Cars announced an ambitious target that fully electric cars would make up 50% of its global sales by 2025. Now, Volvo Car India Managing Director has said that 50% or more of the Swedish brand’s sales in India by 2025 would be electric cars.
As its launch nears, Volvo has released a walk-around video of its first fully-electric XC40 Recharge, showcasing the car’s features and powertrain.
Volvo believes that wireless charging for electric cars is an over-engineered solution and isn’t necessary when you have the space to park and plug in your car, as stated by Volvo boss Håkan Samuelsson.
