Haima Bird Electric EV1 – Auto Expo 2020 Live

Chinese automaker Haima Automobile has unveiled its first electric car for India, Bird Electric EV1, and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh on road. The Bird Electric EV1 is being promoted as a value proposition in B-segment.

Haima will be producing the EV1 in partnership with Bird Electric in a plant at Manesar, Haryana most likely. The EV1 will be offered in two variants – one with a range of 200 km per charge and another with a 300 km range. The car is expected to roll out in 12 to 15 months time.

Bird Electric EV1 comes fitted with a 20.42 kWh or a 28.5 kWh unit according to the variant and produces a power of 30 kW and a torque of 95 Nm or 150 Nm, again according to the battery capacity. The EV1 can achieve a top speed of 120 km/h and the battery can be charged to its full capacity in 9 to 11 hours. The company is claiming a running cost of Rs 60 per 100 km and the car will have the largest boot size in its segment and comes with two airbags. The car measures 3,680 mm in length, 1,570 mm in width and 1,530 in height with a wheelbase of 2,340 mm.
