The UK-bound iCaur V23 is one of the most distinctive small electric SUVs on the market, pairing old-school SUV looks with basic off-road capability. Recently, we got to spend a while with the chunky budget SUV in the Green Edition, complete with motorsport pastiche. Here are some interesting observations we made:
Design
The iCaur V23 Green Edition builds on a solid foundation that conforms to a proper SUV character. In addition to a boxy shape, a high ground clearance, high-clearance bumpers, sidesteps, squarish windows, a flattish roof, a mid-set, straight waistline, wide wheel arches, and a side-hinged tailgate are key to its distinctive character.
A pastel-green body colour is contrasted by an orange roof and multi-colour accents all around. The standout feature is a distinctive livery that creates a vintage rally theme. A bold orange stripe with a white border runs down the centre of the bonnet, featuring a prominent “23” inside a white circle.
Along the sides, the motif evolves into a vertical stripe that uses orange flanked by dark-green and white borders, set against the pastel-green bodywork.
Additional detailing consolidates this retro look. The headlamps are darkened and framed by a gloss-black surround, lending the front fascia a more focused appearance. Black steel wheels complete the theme, merging classic rally cues with the V23’s boxy, old-school SUV proportions.
Interior
The interior of the iCaur V23 Green Edition sticks to a simple layout. The sub-compact SUV has a notably upright dashboard, a three-spoke steering wheel with a chunky centre pad, and round climate and off-road dials set low on the centre stack.
Vertical AC vents, useful storage bays in the doors and console, and purposeful yellow trim make it a utilitarian space, while pillar-mounted grab handles in both rows make ingress and egress easier.
Ventilated front seats with 6-way (driver-side)/4-way (passenger-side) electric adjustment, a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a PM2.5 filter, and a 50:50-split, flat-folding rear seat are among the equipment highlights.
Specifications
The iCaur V23 Green Edition brings no mechanical changes over the standard model, which is 4,220 mm long, 1,915 mm wide, and 1,845 mm tall and has a 2,735 mm wheelbase. It’s in a single-motor RWD configuration that offers 205 mm of ground clearance.
The standard iCaur V23 is available in a dual-motor AWD variant as well, with 210 mm of ground clearance, 43º of approach angle, 41º of departure angle, and a water wading depth of 600 mm. It packs up to 335 kW (449 bhp) and 490 Nm (361 lb.-ft.) of torque, enough to hit 0-62 mph in just 4.5 seconds and attain a top speed of 106 mph.
A variety of LFP and NMC battery pack options are available between the multiple single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD variants. Depending on the battery pack and powertrain, the iCaur V23 can cover a distance of up to 342 miles on a single charge, as per CLTC. We expect the maximum WLTP range to be somewhere between 275 and 300 miles.

The iCaur V23 is expected to arrive in the UK in the first half of 2026. While we wait for the official confirmation on the UK launch, models like the Jeep Avenger Electric, BYD Atto 2 and the Volvo EX30 are likely to be its competitors.
