Project Vector is Jaguar Land Rover’s idea of how an autonomous, electric and connected urban mobility should be like. The project is part of JLR’s Destination Zero mission for a safer, healthier and a cleaner environment.
The electric concept has been designed to serve a wide variety of purposes from personal to commercial transport. Measuring at four meters in length, Project Vector has the battery and drivetrain components packaged neatly in the floor and seating configurations that can be customized for several applications.

Through this project, we are collaborating with the brightest minds in academia, supply chain and digital services, to create connected, integrated mobility systems – the fundamental building blocks for Destination Zero. The concept has been developed in collaboration with academic partners of the National Automotive Innovation Centre. Jaguar Land Rover is planning to launch a mobility service in Coventry, in late 2021 through partnership with Coventry City Council and West Midlands Combined Authority.
The megatrends of urbanisation and digitalisation make connected urban mobility systems necessary and inevitable. Shared and private vehicles will share spaces with and be connected to public transit networks, so you can travel on demand and autonomously.
