Introduced as part of a series of new go-fast Kia EVs at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, the EV4 GT is now on sale in some global markets. At the 2026 Busan Mobility Show, we had a chance to check out the Kia EV4 Sedan GT in person, and here are some interesting observations we made in the performance model:
Design
The Kia EV4 Sedan GT features several design revisions that give it a sportier look and help improve aerodynamics. However, the changes are quite subtle, suggesting that strong performance is already inherent to electric powertrains.
At the front, the Kia EV4 Sedan GT gets a model-specific lower grille with vertical slats that angle inward toward the centre. The bumper retains the same basic shape as the regular EV4 Sedan, but Kia has added sportier corner elements and a deeper-looking lower section for a more planted stance.

On the sides, the larger, 20-inch wheels feature an exclusive design with larger openings, focusing more on cooling for the brakes than aerodynamic efficiency. The brakes sport neon callipers with a GT emblem.
At the rear, the bumper features a unique design with gloss black garnish, a hexagonal cut-out for the registration plate, a diffuser-style bottom, sportier corner elements, and angled light reflectors.
Interior
The Kia EV4 Sedan GT welcomes the driver and front passenger with exclusive puddle lamps that project a GT logo. It has an all-black interior with neon accents on various elements, including the steering wheel, AC vent adjustment knobs, dashboard, centre console, door cards, seats, and seatbelts.

The cabin features a dedicated three-spoke steering wheel, along with an exclusive, neon-coloured ‘GT’ mode button. Kia equips the EV4 GT with distinctive semi-bucket sports seats and sporty metal pedals as well.
The company also offers a GT-specific graphical user interface in the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system. The latter includes a performance timer that can measure the time taken to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph), as well as 200- and 400-metre sprint times.
Experience in the Kia EV4 Sedan GT
I spent time in the Kia EV4 GT sedan, and up front, it clearly feels like the driver-focused version of the EV4. Getting in is easier if the steering wheel is moved to its highest position, and once seated, the cabin makes its sporty intent obvious.

The fluorescent GT touches on the steering-wheel button, dashboard trims, AC vents, seats and door cards give it a distinct identity.
The front seats are comfortable enough for everyday use, even for my six-foot frame. I liked the good side bolstering, good back support and very good under-thigh support. Headroom is tight for a six-footer, but not to the point where it becomes difficult to live with. The central armrest is comfortable, and the softer finish on the door cards, where the arms rest, adds to the GT-specific feel.
Practicality has not been ignored either. There are two wireless phone chargers, a dual-level centre console with space for a small bag underneath, and a useful upper section for a mobile phone. The pedal box is generously proportioned, and the dead pedal works well even for my UK size 11.5 shoe.

The rear seat is less convincing for taller passengers. With the front seat set to my usual driving position, I could not slide my shoes under it, and the back of my shoes touched the base of the rear bench. I had about 8 cm of knee room, but the knees-up seating position made it feel less relaxed. Headroom was also limited, at around 5 cm.
The rear seats are slightly firm, and there is no recline function. However, the adjustable headrests, centre armrest, door armrest, two AC vents and USB ports improve comfort and usability. The small rear quarter panels bring in light, while the fluorescent seatbelts and seat accents remind you this is the sporty version.
Specifications
The Kia EV4 Sedan GT sports two electric motors, including a 145 kW unit at the front and a 70 kW unit at the rear. With 215 kW (288 bhp) of system power and 468 Nm (345 lb.-ft.) of system torque, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 5.6 seconds.

Kia includes virtual gear shift and active sound design features in the EV4 GT for enhanced driver engagement. The former simulates an eight-speed manual transmission, allowing the driver to change virtual gears using the paddles behind the steering wheel, while the latter mimics engine sounds through the speakers.
An 81.4 kWh battery pack manufactured by Hyundai Mobis and comprising pouch-type NCM cells sourced from LG Energy Solution supplies energy to the motors. In South Korea, Kia states 425 km (264 miles) as the official range for the EV4 Sedan GT.

Price
Kia has yet to confirm plans to launch the EV4 Sedan GT in the UK. In South Korea, the company has priced it at KRW 55,170,000 (GBP 27,011).
