Kia has unveiled the PV5 Cargo High Roof at the 2026 Busan Mobility Show in South Korea. The new variant joins the PV5 Passenger 7-seater and PV5 Prime as part of the expanding options available with the PV5 line-up.
The PV5 Cargo High Roof is based on the existing PV5 Cargo Long, which is already available in the UK.
It features a raised roof that increases interior height by 295 mm. Kia will also offer an optional Walk-Through configuration, allowing movement between the driver’s seat and the cargo area without leaving the vehicle.
The additional load height is intended for applications involving high-volume cargo. Kia said the model is suitable for parcel delivery and businesses transporting bulky goods. It is aimed at businesses requiring additional cargo space.
The PV5 High Roof shown in Busan was configured as a LaundryGo mobile laundry van. We spotted it with a ceiling-mounted rotating clothes rack, hanging garments in protective covers, a sidewall-mounted equipment box, a small control panel, and even a map display integrated into the rear door.
The high-roof body gives the cargo bay enough vertical clearance for hanging clothes, while the flat diamond-plate floor and wide-opening barn doors should make daily loading and unloading easier.
Although Kia has not released technical specifications for the PV5 Cargo High Roof, it is expected to share its platform and electric powertrains with the standard PV5 Cargo.
Two battery options are available. There is a 51.5 kWh paired with an 89.4 kW (122 PS) front-mounted electric motor, and 71.2 kWh with a 120 kW (163 PS) motor. Both versions produce 250 Nm of torque and drive the front wheels through a single-speed transmission. The long-range model has a WLTP range of up to 258 miles.
Kia has not announced pricing, market availability or launch timings for the PV5 Cargo High Roof. The standard PV5 Cargo retails at GBP 27,645 for the entry version. The company has also not confirmed whether the new variant will be offered in Europe, including the UK.
