As per June 2026 SMMT data, Leapmotor has secured 1% share of the new car market and 3% of electric car market in the UK, barely 15 months after the launch. The B10 EV, which we experienced in 2025, has played a major part in this feat, after launching in the UK late last year.
The B10 is offered in the UK in a single, well-equipped specification. It is priced at £31,995 OTR, with Leapmotor’s £1,500 Leap-Grant reducing the price to £30,495 for qualifying private retail customers.
The B10 measures 4,515 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width and 1,655 mm in height, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase.
Boot capacity is 430 litres with the rear seats in place, increasing to 1,700 litres when they are folded. There is also a 25-litre under-bonnet storage compartment for smaller items or charging cables.
The UK-spec B10 uses a 67.1 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack and a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor. The motor produces 160 kW, or 215 hp, and 240 Nm of torque, with drive sent to the rear wheels.
Performance is modest but suitable for an everyday SUV. The B10 accelerates from 0-62 mph in 8.0 seconds and has a top speed of around 106 mph. WLTP combined range is rated at up to 270 miles.
Charging is handled by an 11 kW onboard AC charger, while DC rapid charging peaks at 168 kW. Leapmotor says a 30-80% charge takes 20 minutes.
Feature highlights include an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch 2.5k HD central touchscreen, online navigation, voice control, a 12-speaker audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, 64-colour ambient lighting, an electric tailgate and a panoramic glass sunroof with an electric sunshade.
The B10 also comes with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, a heat pump, over-the-air software updates and smartphone app connectivity. Owners can remotely control charging, climate settings and vehicle access through the Leapmotor app.
There are 22 storage compartments throughout the cabin. The front seats can recline fully to create a flat resting area when parked.
Safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane centring assist, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, driver monitoring and a 360-degree camera. The B10 has also received a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
