Okinawa has launched the low-speed R30 in India at INR 58,992 (ex-showroom) featuring the company’s new detachable battery.
The Okinawa R30 is 1,725 mm long, 695 mm wide and 1,080 mm tall. It has a 735 mm seat height and a 160 mm ground clearance. Since it is a low-speed electric scooter, it comes with drum brakes. This model’s load capacity and boot space are 150 kg and 19 litres respectively. The lights at front and rear are halogen, while the instrument cluster is a digital unit. A body-coloured floor mat is also included in the list of features.
Okinawa R30 battery & motor specifications
The new Okinawa R30 has a 1.25 kWh Lithium-ion battery with a maximum voltage of 48 V, powering a 0.25 kW (0.34 PS) motor. Fully charging the battery takes 4-5 hours. Okinawa claims that the running cost of the R30 is just 15 paisa/km. The new electric scooter has a range of 60 km and can attain a top speed of 25 km/h.
Okinawa offers a 3 year vehicle warranty on the new R30, a 3 year warranty on its the removable Lithium-ion battery and a 3 years/30,000 km warranty on its motor.
The Okinawa R30 is available in Pearl White, Sunrise Yellow, Metallic Orange, Glossy Red and Sea Green colours. Prospective customers can book it with a deposit of INR 2,000.
