Update (December 17, 2025): Specifications and outro updated.
The UK-bound Aion UT is already on sale in Asian markets, where it has attracted interest from aftermarket specialists. Recently, we had the opportunity to spend time with a global-spec race-inspired GAC Aion UT, and the details genuinely surprised us.
GAC is directly involved with this race-inspired Aion UT, as indicated by the execution quality of the modifications. The company installed a body kit that gives the car a more aerodynamic and sportier look. A front lip spoiler, side skirts, and a rear diffuser bring the vehicle lower to the ground, enhancing both its stance and aerodynamics.

A prominent rear wing complements the customised Aion UT’s factory-fitted integrated rear spoiler, and the former is central to the car’s race-inspired styling. It increases downforce and improves stability, something customers into casual track racing would appreciate, but in this case, these modifications are more for visual appeal.
Red and black stripes on the bonnet, rear wing, and tailgate, along with similar graphics on the front bumper and side profile are also a highlight of this customised Aion UT. Red accents on the front lip spoiler and rear wing complete the exterior changes.

We think the customised Aion UT looks wholesome from every angle, carrying a family-friendly package with a playful twist. However, the only weak spot is the wheels. The 16-inch two-tone rims give away the car’s base-trim origins. Sportier aftermarket wheels, ideally in 17-inch size and a white finish, would have suited the race-inspired look better.
The interior of the customised GAC Aion UT does not carry any styling or functional changes from the standard car. It is quite generously equipped, featuring an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with HERE Maps, Apple CarPlay, and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, and a six-speaker sound system.

Powering the race-inspired GAC Aion UT is the same front-mounted motor that generates 100 kW (134 bhp) and 145 Nm (107 lb.-ft.) of torque. A 50.27 kWh LFP battery pack supplies energy to the motor and delivers a range of 261 miles.
Internationally, GAC offers the lower-output motor in standard-range and long-range configurations. The standard-range version delivers up to 330 km (205 miles) on the CLTC cycle, while the long-range variant is rated at up to 420 km (261 miles). The former uses a 34.9 kWh LFP battery pack, while the latter is equipped with a 44.1 kWh LFP battery pack.
While the specifications for the UK market have not been disclosed, GAC is expected to offer c competitive motor and battery capacity. The company is targeting a WLTP-rated range of up to 431 km (268 miles).

GAC will launch the Aion UT in the UK through a partnership with Jameel Motors, which will act as the local distributor. Aion Auto UK has scheduled the UT’s market introduction for the second half of 2026, following the launch of the Aion V SUV in spring 2026.
