CarAudioSecurity applies a motorsport-inspired makeover to the Renault 5 E-Tech

CarAudioSecurity brought a heavily customised Renault 5 E-Tech to the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. We were instantly drawn to its aggressive stance, rally-inspired appearance and the substantially upgraded audio system, and decided to explore the changes.

The project was completed entirely in-house by the aftermarket specialist. One of the most noticeable changes is the Air Lift Performance suspension system, which allows the Renault 5 to sit extremely low when parked. The setup can then raise the car to a more practical ride height for road use, with additional height available when required.

CarAudioSecurity told us that the suspension still allows the car to perform well, despite the dramatic show-car stance. At Goodwood, the Renault 5 was displayed close to the ground, with its widened stance highlighted by the white wheels and body graphics.

The car rides on white Compomotive wheels with red CarAudioSecurity branding around the rims. Their motorsport-style design works closely with the rest of the exterior treatment, which was created to give the hatchback a heritage Renault Sport feel.

The full livery combines white, yellow and black sections, with a thin red accent running around the roofline. Large number 99 panels appear on the doors, while Renault Sport branding is applied across the windscreen and tailgate.

At the front, the white bonnet and bumper contrast with a yellow strip extending across the nose. Black trim around the wheelarches and lower body adds further definition, while the white rally-style wheels fill the arches closely when the suspension is lowered.

The rear features a roof spoiler, dark vertical tail-lamps and a black trim panel connecting them. Yellow graphics cover much of the tailgate, and a personalised “REN 5E” registration plate adds another distinctive touch.

CarAudioSecurity told us that the livery was the newest part of the build and was completed specifically for the Festival of Speed. The company has used the Renault 5 for promotional activities for some time, but the Goodwood graphics gave it a fresher and more recognisable appearance.

The changes continue inside, where the standard audio system has been replaced with a Harman Kardon and JBL-based setup. CarAudioSecurity started with a base-specification Renault 5 after some customers were unable to obtain the factory Harman Kardon upgrade because of limited availability.

Harman Kardon speakers were installed at the stock locations in the front and rear, creating a richer audio arrangement. A JBL five-channel amplifier was then added to increase the power supplied to the speakers. The installation also includes a JBL subwoofer in the boot.
