The Renault Zoe, the best-selling electric car in Europe, has seen a huge spike in demand amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Renault has revealed that the sales of the Zoe have almost doubled between January and November.
Renault India is not looking at importing electric vehicles or CKD packs of electric vehicles like the Zoe, Kangoo or the upcoming Twingo electric to rush into the EV segment.
Renault has confirmed the debut of the Renault Zoe EV at the Auto Expo 2020 and is expected to launch the electric hatchback in India next year.
EVW understand Renault has assigned an ‘Electric Corner’ at its stand at the Auto Expo where it is likely to display its electric technologies, Zoe, Twizy and Kwid K-ZE electric cars.
