Tata Motors and Tata Elxsi, a global design and technology services company, have partnered to develop a unified Connected Vehicle Platform that will power Tata’s passenger and commercial vehicles.
The cloud-based IoT platform will help Tata Motors to offer more value from its vehicles and differentiate them from the competitors. The technology will deliver scalability and high performance that is required for the complete range of vehicles in electric, passenger and commercial segment. Tata Nexon EV is the first application-enabled vehicle offering a wide range of connected vehicle features which is branded ZConnect.
For Tata Motors, the unified cloud services will enable sharing and coordination of data and analytics from various sources including product development, dealerships, service networks, customer use cases, etc.
