The Tata Nexon EV has become the lead car picked for the Climate Change Mitigation Expedition launched this year. Taking place in Kerala from 13-19 December, the self-driven tour from Kochi to Alleppey sees the Tata Nexon EV covering an average distance of 40-50 km daily.
Tata Motors says that Cherish Expeditions selected ten people from across India for the Climate Change Mitigation Expedition in Kerala. The expedition is being conducted in association with The Lake Protection Forum, Vembanad and Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and Environment (ATREE). It’s aim is achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – UNSDG 13 (Climate Action) & 14 (Life Below Water).
The Nexon EV has made headlines in Kerala already with the MVD placing an order of 65 Nexon EVs for enforcement duties.
In other recent news, the Tata Nexon EV is available to lease for as low as INR 29,500 per month under a limited-period offer. Moreover, Tata Nexon EV subscription plans now include mileage options now.
The Tata Nexon EV is the first car to come with the company’s Ziptron EV technology. The electric SUV is powered by a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery that drives a permanent-magnet AC motor. The motor produces 129 PS of power and 245 Nm of instant torque, taking the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.9 seconds.
The Tata Nexon EV is priced between INR 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and INR 16.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric SUV is available in three variants – XM, XZ+ and XZ+ LUX – and in three colours – Signature Teal Blue, Moonlit Silver and Glacier White. Tata Motors has delivered 2200 vehicles so far and has rolled out a series of software updates that have had a positive effect on the driving experience and range, as reported by users.
