TVS-backed Ultraviolette teases first electric motorcycle, the F77

Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive has put out a teaser of its first motorcycle, the F77, on its Facebook channel. The last part of the latest teaser clip shows the full-LED headlamp switched on, featuring diffused daytime running lamps.

Ultraviolette has already revealed a few key features and specifications of the F77 which is developed as a performance offering. It has said that its motorcycle would develop 450 Nm at the wheel from a 25 kW motor. 0-60 kmph would be dispatched in just 3 seconds with a sub-8 second time to 100 kmph.

Spy media on the web has revealed many of the features and specifications of this motorcycle. It comes with an all-digital instrument cluster that will support OTA updates, clip-on handlebar with a triple clamp, USD fork, single-piece swingarm and a substantial body fairing to cover the electrical components. Also spotted were LED indicator and a twin-blade LED stop light. The motorcycle rides on Metzeler M5 tyres and will come with dual channel ABS and regenerative braking.

Formed in 2014, Ultraviolette Automotive has raised about INR 11 crore from TVS Motor Company which owns about 26% of the company. The firm had said earlier that it would launch the F77 in late 2019. The expected price is about INR 2.5 lakh with sales restricted to few Indian cities such as Bangalore to begin with.
