YouTube channel AutoTrend TV has posted a Tata Nexon EV walkaround video showing the XZ+ Lux grade in detail. Being the ‘ultimate’ Tata electric car on sale, the Tata Nexon EV XZ+ Lux packs all the bells and whistles.
Unlike the XM and XZ+ grades, the XZ+ Lux grade comes with an electric sunroof, and the other exclusive features include premium leatherette seat upholstery, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and leatherette door trim insert. These come at a premium of INR 1 lakh above the XZ+ grade. Compared to the most basic, XM grade, the XZ+ Lux grade is INR 2 lakh more expensive.
The Tata Nexon EV prices have remained unchanged since launch. The first electric SUV manufactured (with most of the parts sourced from local suppliers) in India costs INR 13.99 lakh* in the XM grade, INR 14.99 lakh* in the XZ+ grade and INR 15.99 lakh* in the XZ+ Lux grade. Colour options are common across the range: Glacier White, Signature Teal Blue colour and Moonlit Silver.
The Tata Nexon EV, now India’s most affordable electric SUV, and undercutting the MG ZS EV, is available across 60 dealerships in 22 cities. The e-SUV has a 30.2 kWh battery that drives a permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces a torque of 245 Nm. The Nexon EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds. With a regular charger, the Nexon EV takes 8 hours to be fully charged and only 60 minutes with a fast charger. On a single charge, it will return a range of 312 km (ARAI-certified).
The driver can select from two driving modes – Drive and Sport. Smart regenerative braking and Hill Ascent Assist and Hill Descent Assist systems are standard. Other key features include projector headlamps, DRLs, leatherette seats, powered sunroof, engine start/stop push button, wearable key, auto AC, dual airbags, ABS and park assist with rear camera.
Tata Motors has planned several initiatives for customers to meet sales and service expectations:
